In Sydney for several years working with industry icons Mark Best at Marque restaurant and Peter Doyle at Merivales Est, Karl ventured to Newtown to become Chef / Owner of the bite size restaurant Oscillate Wildly for a successful 10-year stint. His passion for contemporary food was best understood at OW, where his journey on a plate saw art consumed by your eyes as well as your senses. Now collaboration through like-minded individuals, Karl and Federico have joined forces for their first venture combining industries best DNA to create leo.

Travels abroad landed Federico in the heart of Sydney’s food seen with time at Omeggio with Alesandro Povoni, leading him to creating the current and successful LuMi Bar & Dining in Sydney’s hip Pyrmont neighborhood. The intimate dining  is the ultimate commitment to innovation and origin, with an Italian heart and a Japanese mind, LuMi’s success is no surprise. For leo this means not only like-minded individuals and DNA to match but a new venture that brings the best of both together.
